I have been so used to using Firefox that when the Mac came into my life, that I more or less ignored Safari as a whole and went straight to Firefox.

Then Firefox melted down during an update. ...This meltdown would be fixed by a simple restart.

I think my picture is next to the example in the "Wow, you're really lazy guidebook" next to "You know you're lazy WHEN - you don't want to restart your Mac."

Anyway. It wasn't all bad. I discovered a program that lets me customize my trackpad orders, so suddenly I can use the three finger swipe up/down to go to home/end of a webpage (in Safari...Firefox already allowed this) or to the top/bottom of a writing file in Scrivener. No more function + left and right! \o/ (not having home/end keys on this keyboard initially made me quite sad...then I forgot I ever had them)

...But now watching videos on Youtube makes Safari...or something related to Safari...make the router unhappy.

/tries Safari in a different mode then! Oh computers, you do like to make our lives interesting.

I think this is the first time I have ever gone "huh??" while reading one of your posts. I'm clueless when it comes to Macs & computers in general. All I understood was the home/end keys part. Hopefully your router becomes happy; it's never a good day when they decide to have PMS.

I'm semi-clueless. I can do some things and others just make my head hurt. XD But I missed those home/end keys fiercely to start with. ;____;

And seriously, who allowed routers to have emotions? It's bad enough when I do. XD

Or perhaps they have a picture of the two of us. I know we had this discussion recently. XD

lol yeah I never want to restart for software updates xD I've never used anything other than a mac though ('cept at school), so home keys confuse me. :D

It's not like I lose anything, unless a tab expires or something on Firefox, lol. Sigh. Just a pain, I guess. XD I'm definitely enjoying the Mac~ It's been almost two years, and before that I only used a Mac at college, and I had to google how to copy. Ohh, apple button + c. (I changed this to control + c on my own laptop because getting to command was too hard. XD)

...where is your command key? because mine is right diagonal to the c... xD easier than control which would require my pinky to do something other than shift. I love my computer~

Yeah, it is right diagonal to the c. Do you use your ring finger then to hit command? I think I wasn't ready to change because on a PC it is control + c, so when I work on my work PC, I don't start hitting alt (which is where command is on the mac... so confusing!)

I use my left thumb for command, index for c. right thumb for space~ :) Lol I always end up hitting the wrong keys on a pc because I'm so used to my own keyboard. xD and I freak my friends out because I know a bajillion keyboard shortcuts so I can do almost everything without the trackpad. xD but I'm good with the trackpad so I don't really use them.

Ohh, okay. That makes sense. I clearly never learned "typing for Macs" haha. I wish I remembered more keyboard shortcuts. I still squint at the keyboard symbols and have to pull up a chart to figure out certain shortcuts. >.> But I can't do without home/end shortcuts... and the three finger swipe to the end of a web page is a life saver. D: I feel bereft without it. /lazy
