2009 Fic Meme

Total Word Count: 403,956 (posted) and... 501,179 including everything I have yet to post/finish  .... ._.

Favorite Fic: For Always  (Zhou Mi/Kyuhyun, Siwon/Hankyung, Henry/Donghae - PG-13)
This is probably not a shock to anyone.  It's the longest thing I've ever written, at over 140,000 words (over 1/3 of my posted word count).  It was more or less me writing my internal wish fulfillment.  It had kids, slow get together... I will, when I have a thought, go back and read pieces of this.  Four or five chapters at a time, or sometimes all of it, even.  I'll remember a scene, say... Zhou Mi running over in his pajamas to rescue Kyuhyun from his bad dreams, or their first date, or SiHan's first kiss, or the first time Kyuhyun stayed over, or HenHae's first kiss, and then just have to go read that scene and get lost reading multiple chapters.  It's not perfect, and I still find typos or things in general that could've been clearer/tighter/better, but I really... I love this fic.  I love it so much that I sometimes feel guilty for it, lol.  It started out from the desire to give Kyu and Mi a long fic of their own, and really... became so much more.  <3

Best Fic: The Life I Live (Zhou Mi/Kyuhyun - R)
I wibbled on this as I went up and down the list.  There were others that I was proud of, happy with, etc.  But I think, overall, this was one of the tightest ones.  I really immersed myself in the fire for this one, eating and sleeping and breathing it for a while.  To where when I closed my eyes I pictured the tiger, and even now still do... Hence part of the third story.  I really ended up happy with it.  <3

Most Underappreciated Fic: ...I don't know.  ;_;  The KyuMin?  Posting on a holiday will do that to you.  And my SiHan.  D:  I talk a lot about the QMi on here, but SiHan has my heart.  I love those fics... Collide and Permanent and Transmission and The Air I Breathe...

Most Fun Fic: Rundown (Zhou Mi/Kyuhyun - R)
Baseball.  XD  I...lol.  Oh, how the strange ways our minds go.  I was expecting SiHan's to be first, but I take what I can get.  It's a good and solid bet that I'm weak to kidfics in almost any form, but it was really only a matter of time until QMi got one.  And I really loved this fic.  :\  This fic challenged, it made me happy, made me squee, and it made me sad.  It was such fun to write, and... Seriously, could've been twice as long.  Sigh.  I love that AU.  <3

Sexiest Fic: Not including that fic I don't claim as my own, I don't... ....I have no idea.  Rundown had some sexy scenes.  There were the KiHae fics, too...

Fic that Shifted My Own Perceptions of the Characters: Er, I have no idea.  Possibly For Always, with the HenHae, though.

Fic I'm Most Proud of: ...See the first one, haha.  In addition to being the longest, I just... For Always sums up my year.

Biggest Disappointment:  Not getting a couple of fics done that I meant to.  :(  And all of them have little mistakes and just...general errors, I mean.  Things could be better by far.  But, onwards and upwards.

Biggest Surprise: The Other Side (Zhou Mi/Girl!Kyuhyun - R) (Also, the prequel Special Performance and also the sequel The Fifth Melody)
I have never really written a long genderswitched fic, and though I enjoy writing het immensely... The memory of Special Performance sort of percolated in the back of my head, and one night I was talking to Kei (I could say this so many times)... and I started blabbering and typing out lines of The Other Side. And thus.  We had fic.

Goals for Next Year: To post up these almost finished ones, and finish the HenHae and HanKyu and various and sundry.  And keep on writing~

I don't even know where to find it. I have an entire month's worth of emails only titled "Re: DBSK Tour" and I know they have NOTHING to do with DBSK. :|

However I did just randomly select one and it led me to this:

Yay! *adds Yunjoong to cast lol* I totally thought the baby would be in a spinoff since I didn't want it to be All SiHan All the Time, until Kyuhyun's dad popped up and went "HEY, me!" like two seconds ago. Me: OMG. *whine* Go away! Angstypants Kyumi anyone. :| With a side of SiHan inherits another kid? ....Dangiiiit. What if Kyu's daddy left to protect he and his mom? Like, he'd gotten a hold of a book (a true addict, not unlike a gambler in the "do anything" mentality...) through some shifty channels, and got an offer to get rid of the problem by relocating to China for a while, while it all calms down... So the real reason that Kyu's mom was checking to make sure Kyu was in his bed two or three times a night wasn't because hubby left (good riddance) but that she knew there were some unsavory characters and wanted to make sure they didn't touch her baby. By the time Kyu's been in college a year or two, that worry fades down... he's grown, things are calm, and she marries someone and moves away, having done her job. Kyu's still emotionally altered by that point, though. My guess is Kyu's dad wants something... one of the books or something, maybe (and see if that nice Chinese boy had managed to get his paws on the books, too). maybe something more. (gah, more plot to figure out. x.x)... of course when he gets there, he sees Kyu, and is all "Son!" and Kyuhyun, who is standing by Zhou Mi is just floored, reaching for Zhou Mi's hand... and his dad sees immediately that 2+2=4 and punches Zhou Mi, cause that's not why he sent him there, etc, etc... (omg, save me. ;_;) Zhou Mi gets a nice black eye out of the deal and Kyu kicks his dad out and is just totally undone wondering what the heck the man wants, to just come in and hit someone. (Zhou Mi: *touches eye* My students will think I'm the coolest thing ever. Kyu: ...I hate you sometimes.) o.o what if someone tries to burn the bookstore?! Maybe not like fully, but more of a warning, like a great big pile of books (new ones, not the old rare ones) from the store, in a pile in the kitchen that gets put out almost immediately. And whoever did it breaks some of the clay animals Zhou Mi bought. :( And Kyu is just... so angry and upset and Zhou Mi's like, I can get you more, but it's not the same... not the same. These people are probably not very happy Kyu's dad is back... trying to send him a warning or something, get off their turf... Maybe some kind of showdown. *________* If they try to extract from Kyu where his father is... if they have guns... *_______* If they burst into the store when SiHan + kids are there. *_____* Geng makes Yunjee lay flat on the floor behind one of the big reading chairs, putting the baby with her to keep them out of harm's way... Siwon (tae kwon do master) is trying to see if he can take someone out... They know his father's not there, but they want to see if Kyu knows anything. *____* Siwon gets the one guy, and Kyu (hurting in some way by then) takes out the other by swinging a big old reference book at his head... But someone might get a shot off before they're totally incapacitated. ;____: Geeeng. Just a glancing shot maybe... off side or shoulder... but Yunjee is screaming and blood spattered on the baby's blanket. *____* He has the presence of mind to try and comfort the kids before Siwon can get to him. *weeps off in the corner* Sorry Geng... (Also DON"T KILL ME! He's OKAY!) And if Kyu didn't have a reason to hate his dad before. *__*;;;; (And I was thinking I was going to try and get them to make up, but I don't know HOW if something like that happens. *___*;;;;;; Kyumi are probably having some ups and downs in the middle of it all, too, and this is the run-on paragraph of doom.

...I just say here for like 30 minutes typing that out in a daze.

OMG, what if Donghae is like, somehow connected. *clutches head* Like there's this cute kid (Henry) who's in a class with him, and he works in this store, but his uncle's brother's cousin's neighbor's nephew (or something) is the people circling around and he gets concerned that they'll pull something and is all "OMG, Henry, don't go to work today. ;_; Spend the day with me!" and then Henry's later like, waitaminute... something's, er, "fishy" here... (lol, ahem)

You're proud of For Always, and I love it the most too because we became friends over it XDDD -- HENHAE. But I'll admit that baseball!au and ze het, as well as Collide, is more ;_;♥ inducing because we had such awesome conversations from those. kekeke 8D

And about TV. I should watch more TV. That way it won't just be you telling me these random things that just make me lol or DDD: without understanding XD

A life??? Only when I go home, and it's not quite a life. :| It's moooostly my parents telling me to do things. And I don't go home that often. So a Few Months of the entire year, I am being used as a lackey 8D

I have hopes for Sihan baseball, yes I do. 8DDD But Priorities. Henhae! and things. lol, and het. me? yeah ikr. But you write het how I like it. so. haha. XD What could we do? And you did your fair share of encouraging (although my word count could never match yours) XD

If we were within quick traveling distance of each other, I don't think we'd ever sleep. 8D Or if we did, we'd sleep involuntarily -passes out-

I think is my favorite in the world... it's a really surprising fic! When i started reading i was like "...tiger,what?" but then, i just fell in love with it ;__; it's magical, extremally well written, caring and makes me feel good. idk TLIL is just ♥
But i do love For Always too! I STILL WANT TO SMELL ZHOU MI.
And Rundown is the one to cheer u up ! Kyuhyun's baby girl ♥
I miss more Kihae though :(
