Mm. Yep. That's what I'll be doing tonight. And then fanfic reading, go~ Also...my new remote, which matches the puter. Now if I could just figure out why both remotes have decided to stop working... It wouldn't work, then worked once, then... Won't work again. Muy confused. :(

...And that is all.

...Note from this point on, it's me chattering on writing for posterity and giggles (not so much) when I realize I should have painted an L on my forehead and been done with it.

So, just sort of analyzing the first 15 days of Nano...

Number of days goal was met: 11
Number of days goal was not met: 4
Number of days goal was exceeded by 500+ words: 5

Highest one day word count: 4024
Lowest one day word count: 18

Average per-day word count: 1800

...And then I immediately failed to make my goal on the 16th. Good job, me.

...It's not fair that every time I hear a couple songs I got "OH HENHAE MUST WRITE." And despite the fact that I have advice in my head for many writing situations, including the "Oh crap what do I do I have so much to write and no idea where to start..." (punctuation omitted for brain spasm purposes) ...Which is more or less the feeling I get when I open up the HenHae and the HanKyu as well. And in theory, I know how to kick myself out of that.

...Though I think I've figured out how to ease my mind on the HanKyu...and that's just not to write more than a scene or two on the trip from the house in the forest to Kyu's home, because it's really not that important. This is important to me, because...

I haaaaate writing journey stories. The first real novel I set out to write, besides being kind of limpid character wise, was about 50% just a journey. And my brain went "EEK, shut down." I wanted to write the second story so badly because no one was traveling. Not even the mermaid plot tempted me like that one. One of my favorite GW ideas, of Heero and the wings, also was mostly journey and I'll note that it never...got finished.

...The current SiHan is a journey story. More or less. But it's not going to be novel length. I'm coping. But I still get knots in my stomach. I need to read a whole bunch of books where people travel. But is there a genre for that? :| Sigh.

Okay. Back to the real world...

Trekkie. \o/

Let me know when you want to discuss the one story... never heard back on whether you already had ideas or not. ^^;; Just need to know if I should jumpstart my brain or not.

I swear, I'm not weak to it, except that....I am. Considering I've spent tons of time lovingly wending my way through The Next Generation series. -_-

...I still have that in my drafts? *___* I don't have ideas, actually... Haha. We'd been talking about girls and kids and random, and...yeah. Your input will be greatly appreciated. XD Esp since I'd wanna do something you want to read. XD XD (Which is with lots of pink and bunnies, I know. XD XD) *has already run for the hills* XD

I loooove TNG. Wesley. ♥ A couple years ago my parents were going through it season by season, and I was watching it and they had gone ahead of me a few episodes, and I came back to watch and my dad was like "oh you don't need to watch anymore, Wesley is gone" and I was like "you lie!" But he really was, and I lost the excitement for it. ;__; I was a DS9 girl though. Still have my fav episodes recorded on tape. XD

... I will disown you if you put bunnies in there. I swear! Okay I'll be happy with anything really I will see if something pops into my brain. Or I should say, I'll see if something small pops into my brain, because usually I can't escape Stories Of Epic Proportions, and I don't think you want that. XD

Jealous! I hear the Blu Ray extras are quite awesome. I have to walk to Best Buy ASAP to get a copy of this.

I am watching the extras as we speak... though I'm not positive what it has that the others don't. Still.

Though. First time I've heard a producer type person refer to two main characters and how they "fell in love, in a way" and then pull back. Not in the romantic sense! Butch and Sundance!

...I can assure you I was rolling all over the couch. Good one, bud.

(I teared up at the end again. ahaha.)

I think it has extra clips and diagrams of the ships or something. I'm not sure. I read the article a couple days ago and I've been drinking.

First time I've heard a producer type person refer to two main characters and how they "fell in love, in a way" and then pull back.

Yes, in a way that makes them want to declare their eternal, undying love, get naked, and engage in hot monkey space sex. We all know, Mr. Producer Man. (I totes ship Bones/Spock in the original series, though. ...Okay, and Kirk/Spock. I'm equal opportunity.)

Ohh, I see.

Yes. Yes, you have that exactly right, haha. I mean, really. You can't focus the movie on them so much and not expect it. More for us, I suppose~ It's bad, cause I have things to write, I can't spent my life investigating fic. Sigh. I really need to watch more of the original series... I've seen veryveryvery little of it. Perhaps when I'm finished with this watch of TNG I will actually get there.

...Though. It appears the first season is available to watch on Netflix instantly for a time. Might have to step that plan up...

On the topic of Star Trek, since I go to MIT, I can say I have many many friends who are like "MUST GET MOVIE OR WILL DIE." Yeah, great friends if a bit >_> obsessed ^^.

On the topic of journey stories... Like a character going on a journey? That particular phrase reminds me of the hero's journey in "The Power of Myth" by Joseph Campbell where he discusses various myths in the world and the journey that the archetypal hero takes. Maybe that would be helpful? I find the book a bit annoying since it's a transcript of his interview with Bill Moyers. It's a really great interview to watch (6 1 hour discussions). Most of his discussion is based on his book, "The Hero with a Thousand Faces." So if you want a book, I'd go with that; but if you want something to watch, I'd go with the interviews.
