Chapter One ** Chapter Two ** Chapter Three ** Chapter Four
***
Kyuhyun edged into the bedroom, trying for quiet as he cautiously eyed the lump under the covers. But Zhou Mi woke when the door opened, groaning a bit at the light, but becoming quite alert when he saw Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun took a moment to admire Zhou Mi flailing a bit in the bed, laughing a bit to himself as he turned. Zhou Mi was far, far too cute sometimes. A grown man, with those mannerisms? It was a surprise he didn’t have a line ten deep just to watch him get up in the morning.
He was in a pair of trim jogging shorts and a tank top, rubbing a towel along the side of his head. He felt...Satisfied. A night of hot sex, a comfortable sleep, a good morning workout. A crazy man in his bed. And he was content, even if he did have sweat dripping off his face and down his neck.
“Sorry, didn’t meant to wake you,” Kyuhyun said, spotting Zhou Mi swinging onto his feet.
“What have you been doing?”
“I took a run on the treadmill... If I don’t, the food I eat goes places I’d rather it...”
His words halted abruptly when Zhou Mi’s lips met the side of his neck, where he had just felt a tickle of moisture sneaking down his skin. “I’m trying to find something I don’t find hot about you,” Zhou Mi muttered, to Kyuhyun’s...amusement. “You smell good.”
The kiss Kyuhyun gave him was a tease, glancing away with coy eyes before his lashes fell, and he allowed Zhou Mi to tug him up against him, straining up to keep their mouths on even ground, Zhou Mi’s hands holding his head so that even if he wanted to, he couldn’t get away.
Was there a point at which he would get enough? Enough kisses, enough orgasms, enough of seeing Zhou Mi’s naked body stretched over his bed. It was like one of any of those called for another. That was the only excuse that he had for inviting Zhou Mi back night after night. He’d been in a sexual drought, that was true, but it wasn’t as though he didn’t have options of ending it. He had friends who knew people. He could’ve gotten introduced to someone. He wasn’t hopeless. More than a few women had given him compliments on his looks, so he knew he wasn’t dog ugly.
But there was something about the way Zhou Mi moaned, the way they moved together, the way Zhou Mi looked at him during sex that made it seem like Kyuhyun was the only one who existed in Zhou Mi’s world, right then and forever.
It kind of made him want to laugh because it was so absurd, and then on the other hand he warned himself. It had been a while, so it wouldn’t do for him to go tumbling emotionally after the first guy who made his toes curl.
He eased his mouth from Zhou Mi’s, watching the dark eyes flutter open. No, not even this guy.
“You kiss pretty good for a jock,” Kyuhyun teased, reaching back to yank his shirt over his head.
“Jock?” Zhou Mi laughed. “No one would have accused me of that when I was in high school. I looked more like I came from a family of walking sticks. Big head, big hands, big feet, skinny everywhere else.”
Kyuhyun gave him a rather obvious once over as though to say, “And now?” But he turned, leading Zhou Mi into the bathroom. He started tossing his clothes into the hamper, under Zhou Mi’s obvious, watchful gaze.
“So, seems like you grew into yourself a little bit,” he said, looking back to Zhou Mi. “I really like your...thighs.”
Zhou Mi’s kiss pressed him back into the counter for a moment. He had long past gone beyond just “a little” aroused. And it seemed Zhou Mi had as well.
He cleared his throat, edging out of Zhou Mi’s hold. “If you’re going to share my shower, you’d better start stripping.”
Of course, all Zhou Mi was wearing was a pair of Kyuhyun’s boxers that he had insisted on wearing on the off chance a visit from Miyun happened again. He aimed a smirk at Zhou Mi, and disappeared into the shower.
He was gratified when Zhou Mi’s cool hand slid along his side. But between the heated water, and heated them, it wasn’t cool for long.
***
Zhou Mi watched Kyuhyun get ready for the day out of the corner of his eye, strapping on his wrist brace. He didn’t really know what was between them, but a disturbing thought had run through his head over the past few days. He didn’t even know why he had been thinking it himself. But if this was to continue, whatever “this” was between them, he needed clarity. Some kind of assurance that he wasn’t wasting time like this.
“Kyuhyun...”
The dark eyes rose from where they had been focused on shirt buttons.
“What is this... What we’re doing?”
Kyuhyun blinked, considering the question. “I suppose if you were a woman, I’d call it an affair. Why?”
“I just...think it would be hard to forgive you if you’re using me to prove a point to your father,” Zhou Mi said.
Kyuhyun frowned. “What point would that be? That I can do what I want?”
“That you can take his attempt to get through to you and spit on it.”
The laugh from Kyuhyun’s throat was a little chilling. “You want an eternal promise or something?”
Zhou Mi nibbled at his lip, sensing the walls that were going up and choosing his words carefully. “I think it would be easier if I didn’t like you. But I do, and I hope you like me, too. This really isn’t just all about sex for me.”
“I’m not using you to get back at my father,” Kyuhyun said flatly, and returned his attention to his shirt.
It was a declaration worth a thousand home runs, the rush of relief that raced warm down Zhou Mi’s spine and into his face. There was something very determined in the set of Kyuhyun’s mouth, his averted eyes, and that spoke more of the truth than even his words. Maybe he didn’t want it to be true. Maybe it hadn’t started out that way, but somehow it was.
So when Kyuhyun dropped him off at the stadium after their breakfast with Miyun, he took his chances, leaning over and stealing a goodbye kiss. Kyuhyun had flicked his lights at him in retaliation, but Zhou Mi was smiling as he pushed inside.

“Someone is clearly getting some regularly,” Donghae murmured within earshot of Zhou Mi. And considering he was speaking to Kibum, little alarm bells went off in Zhou Mi’s head.
He looked up somewhat guiltily, and Donghae pounced. “Aha! I knew it! Who is he?”
Zhou Mi looked around for some escape, but not everyone was there yet, and it was mostly clubhouse staff discreetly getting out of their way, and Zhou Mi knew Kibum wouldn’t be any help.
“Who’s who? And you know what?” Zhou Mi babbled.
“Who are you sleeping with? Or going out with... And if both with one person, then really, who?”
“How...”
“You are even more smiley than usual,” Donghae pressed. “We always thought you were kind of repressed, but there’s a definite spring in your step. So really. Who is he?”
Siwon stepped up beside them, stowing his bag.
“Hi Siwon!” Zhou Mi said, searching for a lifeline.
“No way,” Donghae, insistent as a dog after a juicy piece of meat. “I’m your friend, Zhou Mi. And Siwon can’t save you. He’s still pining after...”
“Donghae,” Kibum said, and Donghae sighed. Zhou Mi glanced between Siwon’s panicked and then forcibly stoic face and Donghae’s earnest one.
“The only guy I know that you’ve been spending time around is the owner’s son...”
“I have no idea why he’d be interested in me,” Zhou Mi said, looking anywhere but at Donghae.
“Maybe he only wants you for your body!”
“Donghae!”
Now Kibum was laughing, and even Siwon had cracked a smile.
“Someone wants whose body?” someone else wanted to know, and Zhou Mi stole the opportunity to duck out, escaping Donghae and his questions for at least a minute.
It took only a moment for Siwon to join him in the training room.
“You know Donghae means well and won’t spread any rumors,” Siwon said, sitting beside Zhou Mi.
“Oh, I know,” Zhou Mi said, grunting as he picked at his shoelaces. “It’s just that I haven’t told anyone, and I don’t know what there is to tell.”
“That you’re sleeping with the owner’s son?”
Zhou Mi looked up, finding comfort in Siwon’s trustable eyes. “Yeah. I mean, it’s not just that, and I don’t want people to get the wrong impression...”
“Hey,” Siwon said gently. “We’re your friends. When you know what is, and how much you want to share, then you can tell us.”
“Thanks, Siwon. I mean... It’s sort of weird. The owner’s son. I think if it weren’t me, I’d wonder what someone was trying to get out of it.”
“Well, it’s a good thing it is you then,” Siwon said, and it made him laugh, some of the tension flooding out of him.
“So what about you? Hangeng?”
Siwon sighed, letting his head thud back against the wall. “Nothing... I screwed up. Really screwed up.”
Zhou Mi hadn’t been there... But he’d heard the story.
After close wins, wins that made the adrenaline pump, energy ran up. There was laughter, boisterousness as they came down from their high.
Siwon’s crush on the new pitcher was almost legendary. To the point where Hangeng wasn’t even that new any more. Siwon sought him out, Hangeng, the slender pitcher with the wicked arm. He didn’t throw the fastest. In fact, his pitches were all fairly slow. So when he did wind up, the blaze of his 90mph fast ball struck out even the most experienced batters. The rainbow curve of his curveball... As his catcher, it was a pure joy to catch for him. The pitches didn’t sting through the glove, and there was that connection, between him and Hangeng, as Siwon relayed messages from the dugout, suggestions for pitches... It was their language, the shake or nod of Hangeng’s head to the messages of Siwon’s fingers.
“That was an incredible game you pitched,” Siwon said, leaning on the partition beside Hangeng’s cubicle. The area near the nook he had been assigned was quiet, the rest of the guys still celebrating. And the game... The game had been amazing. Nine solid innings, Hangeng had given, striking out the side in three of those, giving up only three hits in one of their first shutouts of the season. The other team was probably still smarting at having been denied even one run.
“It was an incredible game you caught,” Hangeng returned, shooting Siwon one of his soft smiles. “I couldn’t have done that on my own. The strikeout in the fifth, the way you framed that ball... I think that was more you than it was me.”
Siwon laughed because he had no idea what to do, and reached out to pat Hangeng’s shoulder. There was a moment of uncertainty, Hangeng misinterpreting his movement, and suddenly Hangeng was against him, hugging him.
His breath rushed in, seemed to tremble in his lungs as Hangeng squeezed him. He could smell something, cologne, shampoo, something above the scent of Hangeng slightly sweaty neck. He imagined burying himself there, kissing, tasting Hangeng from ear to shoulder, covering his body, and... And jerked when Hangeng patted his shoulder.
“Are you okay? Did you get hurt out there?”
Siwon pulled back, dazed from his vision, Hangeng’s face so close to his.
With his hand holding the back of Hangeng’s head, he gave in the urges he’d been having for months, dropping his head quick and steady, and pressing his mouth to Hangeng’s.
It lasted shy of two seconds, four rapid heartbeats, before Siwon was jerking back. Hangeng’s eyes were wide, his lips slowly opening as though he meant to speak, before Siwon’s fingers covered them, quieting him.
“I’m so sorry,” Siwon said, his voice ragged. “I didn’t meant to do that. I was caught up in the win, and... I’m so sorry. Can we forget that ever happened? Please?”
At the barest nod of Hangeng’s head, Siwon had turned, fleeing to his locker to gather his things. He skipped a shower, avoided any calls from teammates, and fled into the night. Not really knowing how he’d face Hangeng or the team the next day.
But even after a restless night, he had gone back. Walked in trying to pretend everything was normal. Donghae was still flirting with the oblivious Kibum, and Zhou Mi was laughing at something Henry was saying. His eyes were drawn as if by magnets, to Hangeng, who caught his eye with a blank expression and inclined his head. As if to say all was good.
All was good, he thought, shoving his bag in blindly. Except he felt sick inside, and was almost a little bit certain he was in love, and all he had was one kiss and a man who looked at him as if he didn’t care.
“You haven’t talked to him at all?” Zhou Mi asked, and watched as Siwon shook his head.
“No... Not about that. We prepared for our next game together like nothing happened. Well, mostly like nothing happened. We hung out a little bit before that, outside of here, but we don’t... Not any more.”
“Then you don’t know if he was angry, or if he wanted...”
“Yeah. I screwed up. I gotta get ready.”
“Okay,” Zhou Mi said, and sat there a while longer, wondering why it was so hard for people in love.
***
Hangeng was pitching that night, in fact. Zhou Mi stepped up to the wide owner’s box view. Siwon had jogged out to the pitcher’s mound, his mask clutched in one arm as he confirmed strategies with Hangeng. There was a peculiar way that Hangeng cocked his head at Siwon, the way when they stood together he almost seemed to give to Siwon’s presence.
“What’s with that expression?” Kyuhyun asked.
“What?”
“Your eyes just went gooey.” Kyuhyun gestured toward the field. “Is there something between those two? The pitcher and catcher?”
“No,” Zhou Mi said hastily. He wasn’t going to out a possible relationship to Kyuhyun of all people. What went on in the clubhouse was largely confined to the clubhouse. If the owner knew about it, then he never let on.
“Should there be something going on between them? Come on, you really think I’m going to go running to my dad about that? Like I care?”
Zhou Mi shifted, sitting finally. “There probably should be,” he said. “But there’s not. It’s hard, playing together. There’s no escape if something goes wrong.”
“So to start something, you have to be sure you really want it,” Kyuhyun mused.
“Yeah.” Zhou Mi sighed, sensing the topic had closed. And the inning was over, the team running off the field.
Did that mean them as well? Being careful not to start something, because the outcome was questionable at best. Still, as Kyuhyun led him into the side room and his blood began to pump... It was hard to imagine saying no, now, since they had already begun. The time for being cautious had been the first few days. Before attraction. Before he had shuddered just from the friction of Kyuhyun’s hips.
It was eerily reminiscent of that time, as Kyuhyun pushed him down, straddling his hips and nudging in close, the knowing movement that put pressure in all the right places. But he remembered awkwardly trying to clean up with one hand after that. As instantly horny as Kyuhyun made him, that he couldn’t forget.
“Not...” Zhou Mi pushed him back a little. “Not with our pants on this time. That’s really uncomfortable to sit in, you know?”
Kyuhyun laughed at him silently, cocking his head to consider the idea.
“Get your shirt off then...”
“What...What if someone comes in?”
“You think if we have our pants open that a missing shirt is going to be a big clue? Don’t worry, no one would come in here without permission. And we haven’t ordered anything... So stop worrying.”
It was hard to worry, no pun intended, when their skin slid together like that when their shirts were gone. He wasn’t sure what kissing had been to him before, but not this indefensible mating. Kyuhyun was a generous kisser, and at the same time a demanding one. There was no passivity between them, no reason to pull back and wonder if their attentions were enjoyed. When Kyuhyun would tip back his head, his lips parted on a near-breathless throaty “oh!” Zhou Mi knew he had done something right. And the feel of Kyuhyun’s breath puffing against his cheek...
“You kiss pretty good for a geek,” he said against Kyuhyun’s cheek and got a laugh for his efforts.
“I have long studied the art of kissing.” Kyuhyun said something else which was lost as their hips shifted together. But Kyuhyun snapped him back into focus. “Don’t you wonder why this room exists?”
He couldn’t really say he had thought much about it. The only times he’d been in the room were to make out with Kyuhyun.
“I guess... As a room to rest in?” he offered. It was a very nice room, now that he looked around. Some plush arm chairs, the wide comfortable couch and soft colored, abstract paintings.
“Rest in. Right. When my father watched a lot of games, he’d get bored and bring one of his little girls in here to fool around.”
“Little...girls?”
Zhou Mi received an eye roll.
“When my father dates women younger than I am, I think I’m allowed to call them little girls.” Kyuhyun hummed. “I guess I never thought about it like that... Whether my father might have slept with my wife. Weird.”
“He wouldn’t have...”
“No. Probably not while I was married to her. But you know... She did teach me a little bit about pleasing a woman, though,” Kyuhyun said as though he were reminiscing. “Which I suppose I should be grateful for.”
Zhou Mi murmured beneath his breath as Kyuhyun’s lips trailed his jaw, before snapping into the present.
“Why... Why is that?”
Kyuhyun paused a rather significant moment, before scraping his teeth along Zhou Mi’s earlobe, and saying distinctly, “Because I get to use that knowledge on you.”
On him.
As though he were a woman.
“Kyuhyun!”
Kyuhyun’s cackle was worthy of any hyena.
And then he had a thought.
“Wait...” Zhou Mi lifted the hand he had braced on the couch cushion. “Your father... On this couch?”
“This is a brand new couch. I didn’t feel like sharing.” Kyuhyun kissed Zhou Mi’s chin. “So the only thing you’ll find here is you...and me.”
That mollified him, quite a bit.
But it didn’t last long, Zhou Mi watching the edge of a pink tongue trace the full bottom lip, as long fingered hands undid the zipper of Zhou Mi’s trousers.
So slow it seemed like it was tooth by tooth. He reached to help, and Kyuhyun swatted him away.
“No, let me.”
“If you take much longer, the game will end before my pants are undone,” Zhou Mi muttered to Kyuhyun’s clear amusement.
“Don’t worry... We’ve got plenty of game left.”
Zhou Mi couldn’t dispute that, as Kyuhyun pressed Zhou Mi’s hand to the front of Kyuhyun’s very attractive pants.
Plenty of game.
***
Kyuhyun breathed hard against Zhou Mi’s neck, Zhou Mi stroking up and down his back.
He could hear announcements being made, the middle of an inning, and smiled at Kyuhyun’s tiny groan.
“Could just stay right here till tomorrow,” Kyuhyun murmured.
“Someone would definitely find us, then,” Zhou Mi informed him.
He kept his face close to Kyuhyun’s, shifting them slightly. He could see the length of Kyuhyun’s lashes, swept down as they were. The fine markings that life and time had left on his skin. He wanted just one more kiss from the parted lips. Maybe that would satisfy, maybe it would...
Kyuhyun’s tongue swept out, and with a sigh, he pushed up.
“Pretty nice way to spend part of the game, don’t you think?” he asked, smirk tilting his lips.
“Pretty nice,” Zhou Mi agreed.
Kyuhyun touched a teasing finger to Zhou Mi’s chin. “Better than a home run?”
He made a show of thinking about it, letting his head fall back as he hummed. He waited so long that Kyuhyun began to get impatient, starting to shift back off of his legs.
“It’s better, it’s better!” Zhou Mi said, laughing as he tried to squeeze Kyuhyun. “Better in a different way... A different satisfaction, because... I get to share with you.”
“You’re lucky you’re good with words.”
Zhou Mi trapped him in a kiss, until Kyuhyun stood, leading them into bathroom.
Kyuhyun cleaned them with a warm cloth, taking a moment to molest Zhou Mi’s hips as they kissed. He felt confident enough, secure enough, that he focused on Kyuhyun’s neck, teeth barely scraping lines along the sensitive skin. He got at least one shudder out of it, Kyuhyun’s head curling into his. He felt it was his way of paying Kyuhyun back as the other worked to get their pants and shirts back in the correct place. Something Zhou Mi appreciated since one hand was out of commission, that and he just liked feeling Kyuhyun’s hands on him.
“I have to get going,” Kyuhyun said, patting Zhou Mi’s chest. “The nanny’s weekend off starts soon. Feel free to watch the rest of the game from up here, though. Don’t worry about locking up or anything.”
“Okay...”
He watched as Kyuhyun grabbed his bag, curling a hand around Kyuhyun’s arm for one more kiss. Kyuhyun didn’t protest, pressing against Zhou Mi’s insistent mouth.
“See you,” Kyuhyun said with a smirk, and with a jangle of car keys, slipped out of the door.
He stared back at the comfortable seats overlooking the stadium and realized he had no desire to stay there on his own. He grabbed his jacket, and jogged down to the clubhouse, where at least he wouldn’t be alone.

Oh ;A; this part was SO cute.
Kyuhyun's still a big enigma to me, that makes me enjoy the story a lot more.. trying to figure out what he's like, what he's thinking, what he's feeling..

I think Kyu is an enigma to me too sometimes here... So I'm probably transmitting that well, lol. Now to editing on chapter four~

Date: 2009-10-09 09:02 pm (UTC)Oh silly, panicked Siwon, running off before Hankyung has a chance to respond...I am excited to see their story as well.
But omg I'm sorry for my bias but never as excited as I am for KiHae and QMi. You are just so good with Zhou Mi and Kyuhyun, and making their personalities true, no matter what AU they're in, and how all the sex has emotion and snappy dialogue tied up in it too. ♥ forever (they are so hooott). :D

Date: 2009-10-10 07:12 pm (UTC)Siwon excels in excited reactions... I'll never understand. XD
I love throwing them in new situations. <3 Makes me so happy~ Those are some of the things I really hope for, so. <3 *_* So glad~ Silly kids can't keep their hands off each other...

But cuz this QMi is so damn good....
Oh my God...I absolutely love u for writing such a beautiful QMi story....
I think it's a shame that they still haven't confirmed that they're in a relationship yet, but the fact that they always need and want each other...it's just so...*speechless*
And SiHan has made a cameo!!! I know it's probably not gonna be a big part of the story, but I can't wait for them to get together!!!!!!!!!!!
<3 QMi ~ <3

Italicized part... oh goodness, Siwon, why are you so... you? I hope it works out for SiHan eventually in the end.
As usual, I'm eagerly waiting for the next chapter. ♥
