Just random bits that ran around, how I thought about things over the course of several months, from just random bits, to notes I had around. XD
Character bios

Kyuhyun
Role in Story: Main protagonist/Zhou Mi love interest
Occupation: Computer/office person thing
Physical Description: Dark hair, dark eyes, silky wonderful voice
Personality: Quiet, internal, loves to laugh and have fun, serious about his work, a little questionable on Zhou Mi’s existence

Zhou Mi
Role in Story: Main protagonist, catalyst for other couple
Occupation: Co-owner “Heartstrings” - also writes lyrics as a side gig
Physical Description: Tall, gorgeous
Personality: Good natured, outgoing but also internal, determined.
Habits/Mannerisms: Workaholic. Works to get everyone else the love they desire, but doesn’t think he has the time or ability to do it himself. Enjoys reading. Shopping. Keeping himself health and looking good. Like running?
Background: Psychic in some way - he gets “feelings” about people and pairings and uses that to guide his decisions in matchmaking to great success. (The closer he is to someone does this change?) Kyuhyun asks him if he sees who Kyuhyun should be with, but it doesn’t work like that.
Very infrequently he gets visions that he can’t differentiate from real life. Kyuhyun finds him on the floor of his office, leaning against the wall and staring blindly, panting - tries to shake him out of it.
He starts getting flashes of Hyukjae’s mother’s death, leading them to possibly have an idea who her killer is, because he was never caught? And also, why she’d been killed.
Perhaps the vision he has is not related to Hyukjae’s mother’s death, but the person doing the crime is the person who also killed her - which means they can catch the bad guy.
Internal Conflicts: Knows how to be alone because of him moving at a young age.
External Conflicts: Wants to date, but doesn’t think he can. He pushes people away, has a “one night stand” once a month to make up for it. (Does he actually go through with after a time? Like he started to, but then was unfulfilled and just said he still did so to keep up appearances.)

Physical Description: pretty. Wears glasses for computer work? Nice haircut, trendy style.

Habits/Mannerisms:
Background: Mother died at the age of six, leaving him in an orphanage for several weeks until his father could be found and could come to get him. Meets Tablo there, before going to live with his father.
Internal Conflicts: Wants to find Tablo, unsure of if he’ll like what he finds. Might still have some abandonment issues due to his mother’s death/time in the orphanage.
External Conflicts: Tablo doesn’t seem to be interested in dating. Distance.

Kyu recommends a shop for Mi to take his computer, and Mi brings him coffee as thanks and Kyu’s like “….but I didn’t fix it.” and Mi laughs

and hyukmi are cute and friendly and kyu is the newcomer
so when they do insert tablo into their foursome………idk. kyu knowing him already might be Too Easy. but that would explain how they could go on vacation together. cause qmihyuk work together. and tablo is invited along as a good friend
and hyukmi room together cause it'd be awk to stick hyuk in with tablo, so it falls to kyu XD

and went back to korea, was orphaned… random cousin from the states finds him after a while, can't take him, finds a distant relative and shuttles him off

!!!! okay okay what if tablo does own a business but it's like an agency that places workers…. so kyu DOES work for tablo, and the only reason hyukmi hire kyu is because hyuk is trying to find out if this tablo guy is the guy from the orphanage and mi is like "…that's a little creepy, uh" but hyuk wants to go indirect and they do need help (kyu is probably part time with hyukmi, part time with tablo idk)… they give kyu a free dating pass and kyu wonders if it's unethical and tablo kind of lols at him like, not any more than getting a free cookie at a bakery… and they might try to give tablo a free dating pass too, more of hyuk's hoping. like hiring kyu, hyuk might've thought they'd let him go not long after so he'd have a shot at talking to tablo again but kyu is competent and nice and they like him so he scraps that plan.

so hyuk is the one to do all the interaction with tablo, and he goes to extend the offer that tablo can have the free dating pass but before he can, they get to talking about… something they have in common and just chitchatting and hyuk is like :DDDDD and he is calling himself eunhyuk in case tablo ~recognizes his name~ which zhou mi thinks is ALSO stupid and they finally get to the bit where he's giving tablo the pass and tablo isn't really sure, he's not really looking for a relationship right then, but he takes the card (and hyuk knows it has his Real Name on it but tablo puts it away without looking at it - this'll come into play later when hyuk goes to confess shows tablo a picture of them as kids - and asks tablo if he still has the card, and he does and there's hyuk's name)….anyway so tablo takes the card and is like, yes, kyu told me about this, hahahahaha, but not so interested. maybe i'll give you guys a shot if you can hook kyu up with someone. XDDDDD and hyuk is !!!!! and goes and starts shoving at mi to work faster and mi is very like >( have you never listened to a song in your life! "you can't hurry love," you know that!
and tablo had asked too how kyu was doing there, and hyuk says fine, and tablo…. says he can come back to chat when he has time? (they might make a connection on whatever they have in common)
so hyuk has his excuse to learn more without having to fire people \o/

Subplot Thoughts
Serial killer - targets women with children
First victim - someone related to a client? Zhou Mi picks up on this because of closeness to Hyuk/Hyuk’s past trauma
It’s all over the news so Zhou Mi sees it all over and keeps getting reminded of it. He thinks he just saw news about it the night before, tried to explain it away to himself that he didn’t really have a dream about her as it happened. Dreams keep coming - he gets less and less sleep.
Second victim - Idk yet but this is when he has his vision and kyuhyuk learn about what he’s been seeing
Third victim - he gets a flash of Kyuhyun’s D’: face and wonders why and remembers that Kyuhyun has a sister. Races to ask if his sister is out of the house
Kyu calls her, and she was just about to go out grocery shopping. Mi’s reaction freaks him out so he tells her to STAY there and not move and he’s coming over. Zhou Mi says he’s going with Kyuhyun and Hyuk is like, what do you think you’re the police? And they go.
They get there there are lights and sirens and a woman was killed just down the street - direction of the store she’d have been going to.
They share a hug inside the building. Like, you might have saved her life.
But Zhou Mi wonders if it’s his fault that the other woman was killed (obviously no) and why can’t he see anything that might help them to stop it. They saved Kyuhyun’s sister but someone else’s sister/daughter/mother was still killed.
(Or maybe that one…he got her really badly but didn’t kill her? So she can identify him? So by helping Kyu’s sister, Zhou Mi actually helped to get another step closer to the bottom of the case?)
